Gadiyaghat Mataji Temple

 


In Indore (a city of Madhya Pradesh) district Shajapur. There is a temple named GADIYAGHAT MATAJI and it is a hindu temple and this temple is considered as a magical temple because of a shocking or unrealistic thing. It is located on the bank of Kalisindh river. Kalisindh river is situated in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Kalisindh river has minerals of bauxite deposit.

WHAT IS THE SHOCKING THING IN GADIYAGHAT MATAJI TEMPLE?

Actually, the diya in the temple is enlightened by water. I know it is shocking but it actually happens.

From what material diya is made up of ?

It is made up of Copper

Miracle behind the lightening of diya

There is a priest who takes care of the temple. And one day a goddess came in his dream and told him to enlighten the diya with the help of Kalisindh river water.

Then what happened?

The very next day the priest collected some water and tried to enlighten the diya with it. When he put cotton in diya and poured some water in it. The diya lightened up and the priest got shocked.

       He didn't discuss it but after some months he told this to a few localities, they didn't believe it but when they tried it they were astonished.

Does this go on for a very long time?

 

The priest uses oil to enlighten the diya but when he dreamed and the goddess told him to use water , they started to use it.

 From how long do they use water ?

 For 5 years they have been doing this.

 Does water look like normal water or any chances?

 Actually when the priest pours water in the diya the consistents of water change into sticky liquid.

When we can go to visit it?

You can visit it at the starting of Navratri to monsoon season.

According to hindu calendar, navratri starts in September. So

you can visit it in Navratri till the start of monsoon.

Why can't we visit this temple in monsoon?

In monsoon season, the Kalisindh river flows over and the water level goes up and the temple goes under the water. So it is not possible to pray over there.

Is it a tourist attraction?

It is a tourist attraction because of the magical thing. People came from different places to just see the diya.

And it is enlightening 24 hours.

By bus – The nearest bus stand from this temple is             Shajapur bus stand

By train The nearest Railway station is Shajapur Railway station.
